Beauty and harmony in the service of your smile.
Cosmetic dentistry, veneers, whitening, bio-aesthetics. These are the trendy words today.
We all want to have beautiful white teeth. It is a symbol of health, beauty and a marker of success. It is also a great asset for confidence, without which it is impossible to make a good first impression today.
By definition, cosmetic dentistry encompasses a whole range of methods leading to an improvement in the appearance of teeth and face. In most cases, the starting point for other techniques is orthodontic treatment (including the Dental Face Lifting method) and whitening.
Whitening
In our clinic, we use a full range of whitening methods, but we primarily recommend those that do not cause post-treatment hypersensitivity, are clinically proven and give the best results.
Although each year brings novelties, it should be remembered that most whitening preparations have similar compositions, and their mechanism of action is identical.
Zoom! Advanced Power is the next generation of Philips’ sensational in-office teeth whitening system. The Zoom! system has been used successfully for nearly 20 years in more than 100 countries around the world. The Zoom! system was created by Dr. Bill Dorfman, a dentist who has been caring for the smiles of Hollywood’s biggest stars (including Eva Longoria, Usher, Jessica Simpson and Anne Hathaway). Dr. Dorfman has also made a huge name for himself by appearing on popular TV shows such as “Extream Makeover” and even the show “The Doctors.”
In addition to this method, we use other leading whitening formulations for in-office use (Opalescense X-boost), as well as Prevdent and Flash systems developed in recent years.
We are also happy to recommend proven overlay home whitening preparations (Nite White, Opalescence), as often the power and effectiveness is in the simplicity.
Bonding
Correction of tooth shape and color with composite materials
In cosmetic dentistry, the principle of minimal invasiveness and maximum effect applies. In the case of abnormal tooth shape, the presence of diastema or congenital enamel defects, therapy begins with an attempt to correct the shape of the teeth with composite material. Only when the effect is insufficient do we reach for other methods (orthodontic correction, ceramic veneers, prosthetic crowns).
Ceramic veneers
Veneers are called ultra-thin overlays that are glued to the front surface of the teeth. They can be used to repair any aesthetic imperfections, such as discoloration, gaps, damage, correct the shape and size of teeth. We make veneers from many materials, but the most aesthetic and most durable are ceramic veneers. There are many types of veneers available, differing in both thickness and the material from which they are made. The most popular today are veneers made of e.max and composite materials. The most aesthetic, but also requiring the most work and skill, are ceramic veneers on platinum foil. These are individual reconstructions from A to Z. We reserve film veneer work for only the most experienced dentists and technicians. Also for patients who fully appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of such restoration.
All-ceramic crowns
These are ceramic “caps” that we use for teeth that are damaged and weakened by a large number of fillings or in other situations that make it impossible to place veneers. First of all, we recommend ceramic crowns on zirconia frameworks and crowns made of e.max (lithium disilicate) materials. Most importantly, they provide high aesthetic value and offer the opportunity to reproduce individual and natural features of the tooth. This is especially important when reproducing color distribution and transparency and translucence. In addition, these materials have an abrasiveness similar to that of natural teeth.
